George Brown College announces a new event on May 3rd 2012, in partnership with the Globe and Mail, to celebrate the best and brightest executives in the Canadian Sports Business industry.
“A Celebration of Leadership in Canadian Sport Business” will feature:
- The “Power 50” – a Globe and Mail editorial feature that will be announced in February, highlighting the 50 most powerful people in Canadian Sport
- The announcement of George Brown College’s “Five to Watch” highlighting young executives who have demonstrated significant success early in their career and are poised to become the next generation of industry leaders
- A panel discussion, featuring nominees from the “Power 50” list and moderated by Globe and Mail editorial staff; who will debate some of the key issues from the front pages of the sports business media
This inaugural event is being organized by the "Sport & Event Marketing Program" at George Brown College, in celebration of its 20th year as one of the leading post-secondary sports business programs in Canada. As part of this anniversary, The Sport & Event Marketing program and the George Brown College School of Business will be raising funds for student awards and bursaries.
