BIA’s Taste of Little Italy 2018: Come one, come all, come hungry! Experience an explosion of food, culture and so much more

The much-anticipated Taste of Little Italy event is fast approaching, and what better way to celebrate Father’s Day, the opening of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Toronto’s beautiful summer weather than by exploring one of Toronto’s most colourful and fast-evolving neighbourhoods?

The Little Italy Business Improvement Area (BIA) is set to jump-start this weekend-long food and culture event on Friday, June 15. The festival will run along College Street, between Shaw Street and Bathurst Street.

BIA’s Taste of Little Italy is free admission and TTC accessible. Festival hours are as follows:

Friday, June 15, 2018           6:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Saturday, June 16, 2018      11:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Sunday, June 17, 2018         11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

With all the memorable elements you loved as a child, the BIA has added so much more! Your kids will love the midway, featuring fun carnival games with great prizes to win. If you don’t have kids, your inner child will surely have a ball. Or catch some air at the skatepark where you can enjoy skateboarding lessons. Check it out here:https://goo.gl/LX8GCQ. From sports and games to food and entertainment, this event is perfect for any fun family outing, or an evening with your friends.

Come catch a World Cup match at your favourite iconic bar, or adventure to one of the many new trendy restaurants and experience a blast of flavours. At the beloved Bar Raval, experience one of Canada’s most talented chefs Grant van Gameren’s explosive Spanish creations, or check out the hype at newly-opened Pinky Ca Phe chez Leemo Han, chef at Toronto hot spots Oddseoul and Hanmoto. Take full advantage of the beautiful weather with the extended patios until 1 a.m.!

This year, entertainers are coming from all over the world to perform at Taste of Little Italy. On Saturday night, see globally-celebrated singer-songwriter Sandro Giacobbe. Come back on Sunday for a performance by Dr. Draw, Toronto’s own violinist extraordinaire! Live performances are happening all day, everyday for the duration of the weekend.

Walk along picturesque College Street and find great shopping from local Toronto artists and designers where you can find jewelry, apparel, accessories, sports gear and so much more for yourself or for your loved ones!
